Hey, my 2nd resolution/conviction of the year is to get organised to archive your PDF sewing patterns and avoid wasting paper.
The PDF sewing pattern is handy because it allows you to print by selecting your size(s), but it's means that for a sewing pattern you'll have to print an average of 30 pages (depending on the garment)... and then adding the assembly guide... in short, that's a lot of paper, and you can't decently throw away all those sheets of paper after you've made your garment... especially if, like me, you make several garments with your sewing pattern.
So yes, you have to keep it, but how?
Often we keep them in a sporadic and random way... and when the day comes when we want to use our sewing pattern again, either we can't find it, or we don't remember the size we used or the modifications we made... and finally: "It will be much easier to reprint it again....".
To avoid that moment of floating and loneliness of turning over your memory and your workshop, I advise you to fold it and put it in a large envelope. And to remember exactly what you put inside the envelope, I suggest you download the sheet that I use to archive mine. All you have to do is print it out and stick it on your envelope.

And as far as the assembly guides are concerned, think of consulting them online if you can, that will avoid printing them. The MAYA Patterns editing guides have QR code links with clickable links to the videos, so you can avoid printing... But if you don't have easy access to your tablet or computer and still prefer to have it in paper format, don't forget to put it in the envelope! It will be useful for the next time!
